Originally a Finnish marketplace, now catering to a worldwide audience. Trusted since 2013. Their major selling point seems to be heavy security. Unfortunately, there weren’t enough listings or variety on this market to make it worthwhile.
Established already in October 2013 as Silkkitie, Valhalla is one of the longest running darknet markets ever. To celebrate their two full years of reliable operation, they rebranded globally as Valhalla in 2015. This market places great emphasis on security. Valhalla supports true multisig payments and makes them dead easy to use. Their codebase has reportedly been vetted by expensive security consultants and they run a bug bounty program. PGP messaging is forced by default and 2FA is optional. We did not enjoy the layout of this market and found it less appealing than its competitors. Valhalla lags behind Alphabay and Dream Market both visually and in terms of ease-of-use, which is probably why it offers much fewer listings than Alphabay. At the time of our review (December 2016), we found around 10,000 drug listings and 10,000 digital goods, and not much else. The market accepts BTC only.
